Treating Shame in Attachment Trauma

Shame is a core aspect of complex attachment trauma, and it can be something that is very difficult to work with therapeutically. In this training you will learn  -How shame develops in the context of attachment trauma -The neurobiology of shame and how shame is implicitly learned  -How shame can serve a coherent, adaptive purpose in the context of attachment trauma  -Ineffective approaches to shame that lead to getting stuck -How to use experiential interventions based in the science of Memory Reconsolidation to transform shame  This course includes a step by step process for getting to the roots of shame and resolving them via memory reconsolidation.  This training draws on Coherence Therapy, Memory Reconsolidation, Interpersonal Neurobiology and Attachment Science. You will leave with a deeper understanding of what creates and maintains shame and low self worth, and how to work with it deeply and effectively in therapy to create profound relief.  Total training time 3.5 hours
